With the end of World War II, the Ancient Greek Amphitheaters, with tragedy and comedy, became places of exploration for European and global theatrical creation.
End of World War II: In Greece, at the Ancient Amphitheaters, together with the exponents of the German theater school, a noble aesthetic, historical and philosophical competition has begun in search of expression and performance of Ancient Greek Tragedy and Comedy.
Karolos Koun, Minos Volanakis, Spyros Evangelatos, Leonidas Trivizas and other important directors and creators present their particular personal views on Ancient Greek Theater, while creating the foundations of modern Neo-Greek theatre, and together with the British Peter Hall, the Japanese Yukio Ninagawa, the German Peter Stain, the Frenchwoman Ariane Mnouchkine, etc., they research, create and compete, leading Ancient Greek Drama to the forefront of modern theater.
